also available A1 Explorer is based on A1, adds some accessories, such as NVIDIA Jetson TX2 with software or Lidar with software for extra $5000usd.
Unitree A1 were strongly inspired by Spot from Boston Dynamics.
The latest Unitree A1 robot is smaller and lighter than the Spot robot dog, but they are not inferior to the system of moving in even the most difficult terrain. The Unitree A1 robot dog is equipped with front cameras, which are its eyes. It can record everything it sees in real-time in HD resolution. When standing, it measures 500 mm long by 300 wide by 400 high. Its total weight is about 5 kg, and the internal battery lasts from one to two and a half hours. Rather fast, in fact, it can travel up to 3.3 meters per second (11.88 km/h).
the A1 can carry a maximum payload of 5 kg (11 lb), and has a top walking speed of 3.3 meters per second (10.8 ft/s). One charge of its lithium battery pack should reportedly be good for one to 2.5 hours of runtime.
Unitree A1 data sheet
Including that battery, the robot weighs 12 kg (26.5 lb). When standing, it measures 500 mm long by 300 wide by 400 high (1.6 by 1 by 1.3 ft).
The A1 perceives its environment via dual depth-sensing cameras, transmitting live HD video back to a human operator – it can also operate autonomously, and its RTOS (real-time operating system) even includes a mode in which the robot will track and follow a specific person.
